Public Engagement as a Career for Researchers
I want to make research more accessible and meaningful. This necessitates enabling researchers, students and staff to engage their audiences and the broader public in appropriate ways. To this end, I design and offer a whole range of public engagement and impact trainings as a freelancer as well as for the University of Cambridge. I have previously led on the implementation of the University of St Andrews' Public Engagement Portfolio.
Training sessions are interactive and practitioner-focused. They encompass public engagement with research planning, activity development and delivery, evaluation methods, research impact, grant and publication support, audience and stakeholder analysis, animation, and research illustration. All sessions are suitable for researchers, students and staff and can be tailored to all career stages.
